NYS Senator Jamaal T. Bailey Visits Blythedale Children's Hospital
On November 15, NYS Senator Jamaal T. Bailey (Bronx/Westchester) visited Blythedale Children's Hospital in Valhalla, N.Y. The Senator was briefed by Pediatric and Adolescent Unit Chief Dr. Byron Fernandez on the Hospital’s ability to beat rigorous quality benchmarks and successfully discharge kids home—both, nine out of ten times. Adam Herbst, Blythedale’s Chief Legal, Planning and Government Relations Officer, continued the tour with Sen. Bailey through Therapy Village, home of Blythedale’s multidisciplinary team of therapists, and the Mt. Pleasant-Blythedale Union Free School District, New York’s only public school at a hospital.
