A Celebration of Blythedale Raises $800,000 to Benefit Tiny Miracles Program

A spirit of generosity, love and hope filled the spectacular downtown loft as Blythedale Children's Hospital honored TD Bank, Blythedale Advisory Council Member Allie Farber, and student volunteers Dani, Jamie and Jenna Musoff, for their support. 

This year's event raised $800,000 for the Blythedale's Tiny Miracles program, which serves the Hospital's smallest and most fragile babies. In his remarks, President and CEO Larry Levine emphasized the importance of supporting "our society's most vulnerable members."

"Our Hospital is filled with infants, children and teenagers, all fighting against burdens that no child should ever have to face," he said. "Their fight is our fight - helping them to get better, and to improve the quality of their lives - and doing so in a way that is financially responsible and sustainable."

Attendees also heard from Board Chair David Pedowitz, who urged attendees to consider the complexity of caring for an infant with complicated medical needs.  "Think of the tremendous needs of a healthy newborn," he said. "Now imagine an infant born three months too soon, or with a complicated heart defect. These are the unexpected trajectories the staff at Blythedale sees every single day, and I can assure you, no one is better equipped to handle them than our extraordinary team."

Attendees enjoyed cocktails and dinner, and a short film, A Journey of Hope, which followed the paths of three infants and their families, as they prepare to go home for the first time. Charity Auctioneer C.K Swett held a live "mission moment", which raised nearly $200,000.
