Blythedale Children’s Hospital is a longtime leader in the treatment of children recovering from brain injury including Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), post-infectious diseases such as meningitis or Anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis (ANMDAR), brain tumors and stroke.
The extraordinary multidisciplinary Brain Injury Treatment Program addresses every aspect of a child’s recovery. Brain injury treatment and recovery at Blythedale takes on a special prominence with our dedicated 18-bed TBI Unit – the only dedicated post-acute Pediatric Brain Injury Unit in New York State. Each patient room is sound and light controlled and designed to provide the low-stimulation environment needed by patients recovering from brain injury.
