Stephen Beovich

Stephen Beovich is the Superintendent of the Mt. Pleasant Blythedale Union Free School District at Blythedale Children’s Hospital. Mr. Beovich has been an educator for sixteen years, spending the first seven years as a business education teacher, including five years in a special education setting and the last nine years in administration. Mr. Beovich was named Superintendent of Schools at Mount Pleasant Cottage School UFSD in 2018, a Special Act school district primarily serving students with emotional and cognitive disabilities. While at Mount Pleasant Cottage School, he was named vice president of the Coalition of the Special Act School and selected to serve on the NYS Blue Ribbon Commission on Graduation Measures. Mr. Beovich was appointed superintendent of Mt. Pleasant Blythedale UFSD in July 2024, previously serving as deputy superintendent.

Mr. Beovich received his BS in Business Administration from Boston University, an MS in Business Education and a CAS in School District Business Leadership from Hofstra University, and an MS in Educational Leadership from the Bank Street College of Education.
