Katie Walsh, LCSW, serves as Director of Social Work and Care Coordination Services at Blythedale Children’s Hospital. While overseeing the daily operations of the department, Ms. Walsh works as a liaison between families and hospital staff to address a full spectrum of needs from adjusting to hospitalization to discharge planning. She has over 16 years of experience working at Blythedale, starting in the Infant and Toddler Unit and continuing her work there to this day.
Some of Ms. Walsh’s accomplishments include her involvement in the Patient and Family Education Committee, as well as oversight of grant funded caregiver support workshops. Ms. Walsh received her Master of Social Work from the Hunter College School of Social Work.
