Dr. Haddad is a board-certified Pediatrician and Pediatric Intensive Care Physician, who provides both primary patient care to the many medically complex infants and children at Blythedale and also serves as the Hospital’s Medical Director of Inpatient Pediatrics.
Dr. Haddad is a born and raised New Yorker. She grew up in Manhattan and attended high school in the Bronx. She graduated Cum Laude from Dartmouth College in 2006, where she studied Spanish Literature. She endured the long New Hampshire winters by teaching skiing to children. Prior to starting Medical School at NYU Langone School of Medicine in 2008, she lived in Vail, Colorado for two years, teaching skiing and enjoying life outdoors. She then returned to NYC to complete her Pediatrics residency at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital (2012-2015), followed by a Pediatric ICU fellowship (2015-2018) at Northwell Health Cohens Children’s Hospital, where she also served as Chief Fellow from 2017-2018.
She then joined the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital of Westchester Medical Center as an Attending Physician in 2018. In addition to her full-time clinical position in the PICU, she served on several key hospital committees, held a Professorship at New York Medical College, and was deeply involved with the Pediatric Residency where she was the head of Resident Wellness and led several didactic programs.
Dr. Haddad witnessed first-hand the miracles that happen at Blythedale Children’s Hospital as she sent many of her PICU patients here to receive rehabilitation, ongoing respiratory, feeding, and post-surgical support services. These patients and their families inspire her every day to support the growing volume and complexity of patients at Blythedale, many of whom come from the ICUs at the referring hospitals where she trained.
Her professional interests include pediatric respiratory failure, traumatic brain injury, and organizational effectiveness. She lives in Westchester with her husband and four young children.
