Senior Occupational Therapist/Assistive Technology Professional

Barbara Donleavy-Hiller, OTR/L, ATP, C/NDT, is a senior occupational therapist at Blythedale Children’s Hospital.  She is an Assistive Technology Practitioner with the Hospital's Seating and Mobility Service and the interdisciplinary Assistive Technology Core Team.

Ms. Donleavy-Hiller earned her bachelor’s degree from Quinnipiac University and studied Rehabilitation Technology at N.Y.U. She has more than 25 years of experience in pediatrics. She is certified by RESNA as an Assistive Technology Practitioner (ATP) and continues to be active in ongoing education and training.  Ms. Donleavy-Hiller is a passionate advocate for Blythedale's patients and enthusiastically shares her expertise with the assistive technology team, caregivers and colleagues. 

In addition to providing occupational therapy direct patient care services and serving as the liaison to the Infant and Toddler Unit at Blythedale, her areas of specialty in the Seating and Mobility Service include: assessment of posture and functional positioning for seating and mobility, assessment and training of power mobility, assessment of seating needs for high risk population including use of Pressure Mapping technology, coordination of AT device interface for function, and navigation of funding process and advocacy.
